Hi there! I love exploring new places, preferably in an unplanned matter - just following the flow when on site.
A great place to come and watch both nature and the new harbour. 35 days, one hour ago

For free internet access, visit the Yahoo! internet lounge (in the passenger area, after the security check). Just show your passport and you can use a PC for free internet surfing. 35 days, one hour ago

Activity and history centre focusing on the Battle of Dybbøl in 1864. 41 days, 2 hours ago

Every year at the end of August, the "Isle of Sheep" festival gathers hundreds of young people for traditional dances (Finnish tango, humppa, polka...) in a very relaxed atmosphere. 42 days, one hour ago

Maison Antoine at Place Jourdan is where you get the best fries in Belgium (well, that's what the rumors say). Queue for your fries, then sit down in one of the cafés' terrace and order a drink. You are indeed allowed to bring your own fries to these restaurants - a perfect symbiosis. 96 days, 12 hours ago

Great view from this monument of Soviet-style architecture. Easy to reach by bus. On the way there (or back) stop by at the Pirita monastery ruins next to the Olympic regatta stadium. 97 days, 3 hours ago

A very special sight from the outside, with its yellow colour and a stunning interior in all white. Well worth a visit. Also, there's a lot of other sights around, so you'll pass by here anyway. Just don't forget to take a peek inside. 100 days, 2 hours ago

This is the tower to climb when visiting the center of Munich. It's a lot of stairs, but what you get is one of the finest views over downtown Munich. I'd clearly recommend this over the tower of the city hall building. 102 days, 20 hours ago

If you don't mind dormitories (of six) and have an HI hostelling card, this is the place for you to stay in Carcassonne. Right in the center of the old town, you couldn't think of a better place to stay for under EUR 20. 102 days, 20 hours ago

A-ma-zing. A "must see" when you visit Stockholm (and are even the least interested in seeing a 17th century ship wreck that has been lifted from the sea and restored). 102 days, 20 hours ago

"The first museum in the world that concentrates specifically on graphic design", they claim. No idea, is that true, but it is definitely worth visiting. Tells the story of graphic design in general, illustrated through great examples of Dutch graphic design. 104 days, one hour ago

You'll need at least half a day, better more, to go through all the exhibitions and the building itself. The audio guide that is included with the admission fee is a great enhancement of the experience. 104 days, 2 hours ago

A great view over the city of Bilbao. Come here using the funicular and go for a walk. Also the view to the other side of the hill, away from the city, is worth visiting. There's a small church about a 10min walk away to the North from the funicular, from where you can see some beautiful landscape (and the airport of Bilbao). 104 days, 2 hours ago

For getting around easily, use the great Vélib community bicycle service. The daily fee is EUR 1 and using bicycles for up to 30 minutes is free after that. When using the bikes for longer, the prices increase every 30 minutes, so this is clearly intended for short-time use. Suggested use pattern: Grab a bike, drive to the next spot you want to visit, drop the bike. There shouldn't be a problem to find a station, as they are located within 300m distance from each other. Just try to avoid the stations at the main sights, chances are really bad there is a free place to return a bike at the Eiffel tower, for example. Two streets further, the situation usually looks better already. 104 days, 2 hours ago

A beautiful palace surrounded by a great park. Definitely worth seeing and the park invites to hang out for a while on a beautiful day. 143 days, 17 hours ago

Not only historically interesting, but you can also find a lot of nice spots to sit in the sun and get inspired by the centuries of history that are surrounding you. Next time, I'd like to have a little picnic here. 143 days, 17 hours ago

It's just a little bronze statue with far too many tourists standing in each other picture, but still I think this is a must-see. It's just so famous you get this "been there" feeling when sitting next to it. Actually, as soon as you get 25 meters away, you can sit by the sea very relaxed and watch the masses. 143 days, 17 hours ago

Outstandingly delicious pizza at fair prices, in a very Italian style setting. Lots of locals seem to visit here frequently. Note that you can not eat in in the nighttime. 145 days, 12 hours ago

Come here to visit the "Denkstätte" exhibition about the student movement Weisse Rose against the Nazi dictature (the group around Sophie Scholl). 211 days, 23 hours ago

The cable car takes you to the Herzogstand in no time. This naturally leads to a significant amount of people on the peak. Check the walking routes on the top beforehand, to find a route to some less frequented places. The view is great however, and definitely worth seeing on a beautiful day. 211 days, 23 hours ago

Come here with the SeaBus from downtown Vancouver for a great view on the skyline of Vancouver. If you feel sporty, you might consider walking back, over Lions Gate bridge (with lots of opportunities to catch a bus whenever running out of motivation/energy). 211 days, 23 hours ago

This is a great place to come for a walk by the sea. In the evening, the Lions Gate bridge makes for a nice photo opportunity. The path along the shore is also suitable for a bicycle ride, if you happen to have one available. 211 days, 23 hours ago

For a little over 5000 yen/night, the Ryokan Kangetsu is a nice place to stay at: http://www.kangetsu.com/sub7.htm It's located in a peaceful residential area about half an hour from Yamanote Line (including changing train once) and has its very own charm - with the rooms located around a garden that also features an open-air hottub and two "living rooms" with free internet access. 213 days ago

Try to come here in the late afternoon. The island is packed with tourist groups in daytime, but after 4pm shops are closing and the tourists hurry back to their buses on the mainland - this is the right time to enjoy the tranquility of this place and enjoy the illuminated torii. 288 days, 2 hours ago

Great park for taking a walk. Come here when the sun is going down. 294 days, one hour ago

Male travellers: give the Hotel Cabinas capsule hotel a try! At the rate of a hostel dormitory night, you get the authentic experience of a Japanese capsule hotel. Other than you might expect, this is by no means a dingy place for stranded travellers, but rather a very clean business hotel with the only difference being that you are sleeping in a tent-size capsule. 317 days, 22 hours ago
