I lived in Riyadh for 4 years. It was a big rich city. Good shopping, restaurants and interesting surroundings. Largest international school in the world. The markets are interesting... gold, carpets, spices, etc. I just dont recommend shopping at noon time on Sunday. The market is next to the central Mosque where corporal punishment is served. Not a place for women.
