I love to see the available hotels on the map. I move and zoom the map a lot. It's so easy to filter out the hotels that are too far from my preferred location. I also like seeing the hotel prices at a glance on the map markers.

This concrete tower is not a sight itself, but it does provide a great view over Kuopio and the surrounding countryside and lakes on a sunny day. It was only after visiting Puijo tower that I understood how many lakes and islands there are around Kuopio. And after seeing the water glittering in sunshine, we went to Kuopio harbor to take a day cruise to the islands... :-) It's worthwhile to walk back from the tower through the woods. There are nice paths.

Sun is shining and you can enjoy high quality wines, gourmet food and the heat of tango in the middle of Sawo. This is something that you cannot pass if you are spending summer time in Finland!

Kuopio is great place also after sunset! There are quite a few pubs, clubs and bars in an easy walking distance from the central market square. My favorite pub is Malja, but I'd maybe recommend checking Passion nightclub if you're up for some partying!
