Budget unspecified (showing all) Stars unspecified (showing all)I love to see the available hotels on the map. I move and zoom the map a lot. It's so easy to filter out the hotels that are too far from my preferred location. I also like seeing the hotel prices at a glance on the map markers.
This hotel booking tool has saved me both a lot of time and money.
Thanks for a cool new way of booking hotels! On our family trips, we are used to filter the hotels based on our budget. Now we can quickly see the hotels that offer the best deals and that are conveniently located close by the most interesting sights.
The prices on TripSay are always great.
I found a hotel quickly using the advanced filters. Booking the hotel was easy and straight-forward.
I require a wi-fi, non-smoking room and location near the airport or main railway station. Finally it's easy to find a hotel that suits me. I recommend this tool to other travelers as well.
The city itself is alright, though if you in the area, i'd recommend cathing a 40 minute bus ride to Boulder, CO
There are several easy drives you can check out! To jump right into nature, drive up canyon rd, and that will take you to Nederland through a gorgeous canyon drive. Nederland is a small and charming mountain town up in the rockies. Hang a right on the peak to peak highway, and you will be at Estes Park in an hour, and Rocky Mountain National is just a few minutes away from there! For a more local hike, head all the way up Mapleton Rd from Broadway St, or Baseline Rd for some of Boulder's most beautiful local hikes. Tenderfoot trail is one of my favorites at the top of Baseline Rd (Flagstaff mountain), which provides wonderful views of the Rockies, and as the name implies, it is a nice relaxing hike.
If you're coming to Denver, make time to check out the eclectic neighborhoods vs. just spending time in the touristy places like the 16th Street Mall, etc. Spend some time in the Highlands (NOT Highlands Ranch, the 'burb). This 'hood's epicenter is 32nd & Lowell. Map it. Also check out Platt Park. Specifically, the shops and restaurants on South Pearl Street, from about 1200 S. Pearl to about 1800 S. Pearl. Awesome farmers market on Sunday mornings, best non-coastal sushi restaurant on the planet (Sushi Den), and cool shops. Also check out Washington Park - specifically Old South Gaylord street. Enjoy!
I was born and raised in the Metro area and could very well live here for the rest of my life. I never tire of viewing the snow-capped peaks (yes, there are some that stay snow-capped year round). Denver is perfectly situated in that you are a very short drive away from spectacular views and awesome venues for outdoor recreation. They don't call Colorado "America's backyard" for nothin'. The city offers awesome experiences as well. There is too much to write about, but I can assure that Denver has it all-- well, except oxygen.
Check out the SOFA neighborhood. It was an industrial area that has largely been converted to lofts and condos. Lots of beautiful old buildings that retain the architectural details of the times. One cool thing i noticed is that many buildings have doors on the 2nd floor, that seem that they must dump people out for a 1-story fall. I think they said it was either because of snow, or because they moved the level of the street... forget which...
The museum displays Colorado's imagination inspiring history from the early days of mammoth and giant bears via wild west to modern days. Especially I liked the many skillfully crafted dioramas, depicting settings from Anasazi's Mesa Verde to gold digger's camp. The dioramas alone are a good reason to go visit the museum.
the street meat gyro guy on pearl st. mall by the Pub will try and screw you if you appear drunk late at night. Pay him with a $20 and he'll say you gave him a $10. I watched the bastard do this for three hours straight one night.
Sunny 320 days a year! Some of the best hiking trails in the country. The people are friendly and amazing. Even though it is a small city, it serves as a global hub for the web and international business.
Golden, CO is best known for being the town where Coors beer is made, so you must take the brewery tour! It's free and, of course, you get free beer at the end too. :)
The Table Mountain Inn is a great place to stay in Golden. It's right in the heart of downtown and the restaurant downstairs is famous for its chicken tortilla soup.
16th street mall in Denver is a great place for tourists. It has fun shops, a Starbucks every 10 feet, lots of restaurants, and a Coyote Ugly bar.
If you're in the Denver metro area, definitely check out the trails at Chautauqua Park.
