I love to see the available hotels on the map. I move and zoom the map a lot. It's so easy to filter out the hotels that are too far from my preferred location. I also like seeing the hotel prices at a glance on the map markers.

Always have a great time in Brum as it's got such great nightlife and is very pretty. Have a problem with hotels recently though and wondered if someone could help me in this regard? I am a Birmingham City fan and so I prefer to stay near the ground (please see link below for list). Thanks

The Chesford Grange is a very nice place that can be booked comparatively low-cost via e.g. laterooms.com (I usually pay 55 GBP per night). Not only do they have a beautiful central building, pretty good (and clean!) rooms, and a well-stocked English Breakfast buffet in the morning - they have one of the cooler bars on the planet which is spread across several (former living?) rooms which contain shelf-loads of books. I really like sitting there after work, having a tasty (and ample) burger, and reading one of the books from their shelves.

I've been here only for business, but have never found the need to leave the hotel. A typical English dirty industrial city. Nothing to do, nowhere to go. Avoid it if you can!
