Great skiing. Lot´s of powder. Nice village, not so expensive yet lot´s of restaurants. Mostly austrian ones serving Wiener Schitzel and Pizza places. My favourite restaurant is a Spanish Tapas Bar, guess its named Bodega.
Skiing on the backside of the Rendl is fantastic, but do it with a guide for safety reasons.

It's possible to ride all the way to Schmuggler Alm in Samnaun and get some decent tax free deals on the Swiss side. They have perfumes, booze and all the usual tax free stuff at this scenic restaurant. Use the gigantic gondola to get back to Ischgl. As an exotic bonus, border guards on skis patrol the area occasionally to catch people who might be carrying too many bottles.
