A good guide makes the rocks come alive and the hills dance. Guided bus tours can be had, leaving from Salisbury every hour, no reservation needed.

Went on a tourist bus trip to see the Roman Baths on the city of Bath. The town seemed lovely (didn't have a lot of time to roam around) and the baths are worth seeing!

mars68loves Stonehenge because it is a must for anyone interested in history. Saw it years ago when I was kid, and still can vividly remember the experience. Saw Stonehenge back when you could still walk among the stones. One of those places in the world that you MUST visit.

Go early in the morning so you can just sit and contemplate the stones before the crowds come. Or stay late and watch the stones glow in the sunset. Can't be beaten for a meditation spot.
