"Arguably, however, the reason behind Verona's thriving tourist industry has less to do with architecture or history than with literature -William Shakespeare's romantic and tragic play about the young lovers Romeo and Juliet is set in the city, and such is the power and resonance of this story that every year a stream of tourists flocks to Verona to visit the famous courtyard and balcony at Casa Giulietta ( Juliet's House )on Via Cappello in the Old Town."

Verona is one my favorite Italian towns. It's a compact town with lots of things to see, from the art gallery in the castle to the amphitheater. Even the Romeo and Juliet's house was quite fun because of all the action and scribbled notes on the wall. And I guess rubbing Juliet's right breast - as per the tradition - has brought me a lot of luck in love.. :-P

The whole Verona is like made for shopping. Only problem is that you need quite a lot of money, if you want to buy anything! I hade only one day time in Verona and I managed to visit like half of the boutiques. So be prepared with lot of time and lots of money :D
