What is Tiberias

Tiberias (Hebrew Teveriyah) is a large town located on the western shore of the Sea of Galilee/Lake Kinneret in the north of Israel. The view of the lake from the hills is simply fascinating - so much water, and so blue. Once Jesus used to hang out in the area which is now a flourishing resort town.

When camping on the banks of the Kineret never go to any of the closed private beaches, just drive around it till you find a clear spot and place your tent there. You'll have a quieter, cleaner and much nicer time.

Map error: the Golan Heights are in Israel, not Syria.
