Your basic western-stlyle neighborhood bar: Good place for a couple of beers before or after visiting the night life of taipei - or as a matter of fact, good place to go also after work, or even for lunch. Friendly employees, who remember you even after two years since your last visit!
The clientele is mostly locals, but also frequently visited by expats and visitors from the nearby Nokia / NSN office. I always visit this place when in Taipei. You should too.

The sheltered food section of the night market is situated right opposite Jiantan Station. There are many local snacks and dishes available, including smelly tofu (you will smell it once you reached the middle of the section). To get to the merchandise section of the night market, you will need to cross a road, just follow the crowd. Within the merchandise section, there is a smaller open-air food section, selling slightly different kinds of food.
