) is a town and a municipality in the Algarve, southern Portugal. The municipality is part of the district of Faro. Silves is located near a Roman bridge over the Arade River and thus controls the river valley down to the coast. One of the most beautiful beach resorts in the world. It has a huge parc with lots of pretty flowers, two pools and a private beach that is in its own bay and can only be accessed from the resort.
