Didn't actually go all the way to the village, but really enjoyed the view of a "town falling off of a cliff". If you're in the area, do drive by. If you're further away, doesn't make sense to drive this way just for a quick look (it's not that amazing).

In July this year the beach was packed with Italians and Dutch families. Nice restaurants by the sea (gorgeous views) with prices ranging from one end to another.
Book your hotel well in advance if you want to visit Cecina Mare during the summer - all the hotels are fully booked in July/August.

Absolutely charming little village on the hills of Tuscany. Unfortunately I was there during siesta when everything was closed. Gorgeous views, though, and excellent place to take panorama pictures of Tuscan scenery.

Simple hotel with a simple restaurant. Clean small rooms and beach just across the street. There's no reception desk and service is just like at anyone's home.
Restaurant is definitely not a good example of Tuscan culinary experience. Do not base your opinion of Tuscan food on their offering.

bjorglangesundloves Massa Marittima because It's the birthplace of San Bernardino and centre for the Etruscan silver mines - historical!

Suvereto is a very small place and the few people that lives there are peasants and hunters. It's a great place, but nothng for young people looking to have fun since there are no places to go... That's why, if you go there, you have to be open to explore the surroundings and other cities in the area. The Suveretanis can drive two hours just to go dancing!
