Restaurant Fernando has become one of our regular destinations whenever we are in Mikkeli (on our way to do some fishing). Their menu is long and ... let's say, imaginative. For example, Fernando combines fish with meat and may just as well serve some kangaroo on a stick and call it Fernando's Sword. The food is good and heavy and keeps hunger away for a long time. :-)

Summer is the best season to visit Mikkeli. Places woth seeing and visiting are the market place, Naisvuori and Kenkävero.
The best swimming place in town is located in the northern side of Pitkäjärvi.
Go to Tertin Kartano for a delicious meal and n a unique manor milieu.
