What is Phuket

Phuket (ภูเก็ต), pronounced "Poo-get", is Thailand's largest island and also its second smallest province. It is 48 km in length, 21 km at its widest, and is located in Southern Thailand, on the west-facing Andaman Sea coastline, suspended from the southern tip of Phang Nga Province by a pair of short but substantial road bridges.

I went to Phuket when I was really young. My parents took me there on our winter vacations (Northern Hemisphere). Despite this, it was really hot there and I really enjoyed it. I recommend staying at the Impiana Phuket Cabana Hotel. The property is, in my opinion, one of the most beautiful properties in Phuket. It is right along the beach and the sunset is visible from sloseby upon a cliff where it is absolutely spectacular and beautiful. They probably changed a lot and made it better now, but even when I went there about 10 years ago, their "cabanas" were beautiful. The pool is simply spectacular. In addition, since Impiana is not a world-renowned name, so the prices there will also be more reasonable than say, the Sheraton.

I was there last year and the location of the hotel was fantastic. But I thought earlier, that there aren't as much tourists as are in other beaches...but there were SOOO many! That disappointed me. But I really loved the hotel and the view...and the breakfast was so tasteful: fresh fruits and so on...
