About Paestum

An ancient Graeco-Roman city, originally Poseidonia, south from Salerno and very easily accessible by train. One of the best preserved group of magnificent Doric temples from 6th century BC, a total of three still remaining. There is also a fascinating collection of painted tombs.

Very nice little village. A walk on the dock is certainly worth it. A good eat -not cheap but good- is the Aquapazza restaurant. To get there, from the beach, on the main street, 100m on your left
