A Belgian version of a beach resort. The old part is quite nice, with pictoresque old houses. However, most of the beach-front is built during the past fifty years.
The beach itself is rather nice and very big. Gets very, very crowded on a nice weather.

This is the place if you want to experience a one of a kind experience. The food, or should I say artwork, looks and tastes wonderful. The other side of the story is that one should have to prepare to pay a bit extra than in "normal" restaurants. One thing is also worth saying: the place has 3 Michelin stars!!
By the way.. I ate that :)

This is a very cheap and a good hostel if your intention is to wonder around Brugge. The river is the only thing that's between the old city centre.
Allthough the stairs of the building tend to creak and the lighting at the hallway are usually not on, but the place still appealed to me in some strange way..

one of the best B&B I have ever been to. Full of charm and atmosphere. Beautifully remodeled old building with nice handmade furniture by the owner.
I love this Place.

Try to find the smallest bar you can and ask the "bartender" (waiter) for his/her suggestions

I'm taking my parents to Bruges for their birthdays' soon, and wondered if anyone knew a qaulity hotel to put them up in? They have high taste and I hate just relying on sites where people have written stuff from the distant past...
