What is Newquay
Newquay is the surf capital of Great Britain. Generally a youthful vibrant city located in the county of Cornwall.
Newquay buzzes during the summer month's, also it's the venue for many hen/stag night parties. You can see groups of differently costumed people out on the tiles making the last of their freedom before they get hitched. I've seen schoolboys, fairy's, bears you name it I've seen it. There's also the surfers, what ever the weather their in the water chasing the tide. There's serf lessons everywhere you look, and if it's hot it can feel like being in Oz. There's lots of café's (too many to mention you'll have to read my café's review). Shops stay open until late depending how many people there is. There's the nightclubs which are always full, one wonders if the town actually goes to bed. During the summer at the bus station there's always a coach trip to somewhere like The Eden Project, Flambards, Lands End or The Lizard Point. These are no more then £10, the most is £36 which is to The Scilly Isles.
The TIC (Tourist Information) are very helpful & will get you a deal on things if you ask Newquay zoo is well worth a visit, & there's the Sealife Centre & Tunnels of Time Museum. There's six beaches in Newquay, although it can get a bit windy on Fistrel through the scenery is stunning. There's a small land train which will take you around town, £2 for single fare, £4 for all day. Everyone or most people wear red tops with letters on in yellow saying Newquay Lifegard, bit worrying as i wouldn't know which is the real one if I did get into trouble in the sea.

Surfers paradise, it's about ten minutes from town, there's plenty of signs. Just go past Sainsburys supermarket past The Fort restaurant up the hill. The scenery is stunning and there's a little white pill box you can walk to although not in the dark as theirs no lights. There is some shops on Fistrel, although they mainly do surfing gear, the café isn't spectacular although you will get bowls of chips. Overlooking the sea is a posh place where I reckon all the famous people stay, probably £50 a night, I call it castle Dracula. This is the place to see wicked sunsets etc.
