This place is very well located! It is the other end of a walking street that has lot of shops. It is right next to the Oracle Shopping center. And there is a number of pubs and bars near that serve food and drinks. Keep in mind that most of the restaurants close at 11pm in Reading. Pubs stay open later and then a handful of bars after that.
Room that I got was on the 4th floor. The noise from the street below could be heard to the room but there was not that much traffic so it was not disturbing. The room was obviously old as the floor was sloping towards the outside wall and window. I almost fell of the bed! :D
Breakfast was basic but does not cost much.

Number 18 is serviced apartment. So it is not exactly a hotel but you get a room and a kitchen etc so it is rather convinient if that is what you are looking for. There are utensils, some glasses, water cooker, fridge etc. Practically all you need to make yourself breakfast.
Rooms are clean and have nice sofa and at least I got a really nice big bed.
It is close to the city center and just a walk away from The Oracle shopping center.
If you plan to stay in this place make sure you get the details how to get in before hands. I did not get and had to call around to get in. People I called were very friendly so no problems there.
If you decide to stay here the lock on your door works so that to lock it you need to lift the handle. So it is not enough just to rotate the key :D
