If you came to Muonio, then you either went too far or not yet far enough. Go back to Olos, Pallas or Levi to do some downhill skiing or continue up north to Norway, nothing to see or do in Muonio.

Pallastunturi, an isolated mini-center in the middle of Pallas-Yllastunturi National Park, is a heaven for anyone enjoying pure nature. A perfect place for cross-country skiing in wintertime, for hiking in summertime.

This year (2008) there was snow even in the first of May. You could cross-country ski in the warm and sunny weather and enjoy the scenery. Another way to spend your first of May :D
