Mount Etna is covered in ashes, taking a stroll in flip-flops is not a good idea. Take good shoes with you and remember to follow the trails, above the clouds terrain can look confusingly the same.

Really cool small village where it feels like time had stopped some centuries ago. The village is situated on a very steep hill-top. The cable-car ride from Taormina is spectacular; b4 travelling, I suggest you check that it is still there: my trip there was in the mid-80's ;-)
