Almost every car in Moscow is an 'unoffical cab.' What that means is that you merely hold your arm out (palm down) and a car will pull up. You tell them where you want to go...negotiate a price and away you go. While this may sound unusual to a Western visitor, it is quite common, and on our trip we actually had a 5-series BMW with an off-duty police officer give us a ride (complete with blue light flashing). It was really cool!!
Ntoe - have exact change (small bills etc) as the drivers don't necessarily carry change.

Be prepared for one of the most expensive cities in the world. If you stay at a tourist hotel, it is almost a license to pay through the nose (ex: a cappuchino, 3 small waters and a bowl of soup was $43 US dollars).
An example of this is the Cosmo Hotel - v.pricey!

I think that Moscow is quite noisy... to be fair very much(and this fact gives the main representation of the city, bad representation), but person who knows the history of this glorious city well ONLY can say that it has so many place to see
