About Mexico City elsewhere
"San Luis Potosi , Zacatecas , Aguascalientes ,and Merida in the Yucatan peninsula ,among others."
world66.com
"Worst: June-Oct [wet, hot]; the Yucatan Peninsula is susceptible to hurricanes during this season but even if the big H doesn't strike the seas around may be rough and unclear, the skies cloudy and the beaches [Cancun, Cozumel, Playa del Carmen etc.] less pleasant to hang out on, though prices will be down."

"Where the Caribbean Sea meets the Yucatan Peninsula ,coral reefs come alive, with sea creatures, great and small."

About Mexico City

Enjoy some luxury in DF! If and WHEN you travel to Mexico City, one of the biggest and most interesting cities in the world, take a subway to a suburb called Santa Fe. Santa Fe hosts one of the biggest shopping malls in the city. You have to take a cab from the subwaystation, but it's very cheap. The mall has many small and big boutiques offering everything one can look for. And that's the place to find some luxury to your trip... If you´re low on your budget, it's still worth to visit for. Just enjoy the athmosphere and get shocked by the price tags. There is some surprisingly cheap restaurants offering typical shopping snacks in the building too. Locals come here to spend their sundays, so it is a great place to see the normal life of Mexican middle class.
