What is Marigot

Saint Martin is an island split between French Guadeloupe and the Dutch Netherlands Antilles. It is one of the smallest land masses divided between two countries. The northern, French side of the island is known as Saint-Martin, and is 20 square miles. The southern, Dutch side of the island is known as Sint Maarten, and is 13 square miles. To avoid confusion between the three variations on the name, the two regions are commonly referred to as "the French side" and "the Dutch side".

Uh, Anguilla is not in Afghanistan. Perhaps a glitch in the system. Hmm.

Eat @ Bernice's! It's a nice lady's backyard on the west side of the island- - she cooks up all types of BBQ on outdoor grills (I think its only on the weekends). Def. much cheaper than the over-priced restaurants!

Caribbean can be bit expensive so if you're on St. Maarten and prefer cheap accommodation head to Crew House, Wellington Rd 33, Cole Bay. It's very modest place kept by two great ladies. There's wireless if you're dragging laptop with you and of course other travelers for good company and tips. If you're hesitating give call +(599) 527 1611 / 524 5574 or email sxmmicheline@yahoo.com. I lodged there couple days after sailing to St. Maarten and while waiting my flight at Feb 2009. Price per night was 25 USD.
