About Madeira
erkkiat from Finland wrote about Madeira one year, 5 months ago
Madeira has about a 1000 km of concrete irrigation channels, which practically run level. They serve as scenic routes for hiking, with a view of the sea on the other side and mountains on the other. The routes go through little villages and through dense forests. I can highly recommend checking this little Atlantic island out.

Nice place, at least I liked a lot. Maybe some hills too many. You will be in trouble without your feet.

Camara de Lobos is within walking distance from Funchal - even closer if your hotel is on the western side - but it´s a world apart! Even today, it´s basically a fishing town, and the oldest part, close to the harbour, is very scenic.
