About Le Grand Hotel Courmaison

The hotel is located some 3 kilometers from Courmayeur centre and the cabin lift. They have a free minibus from the hotel to downtown. Otherwise just another accommodation, but they have a small gym and sauna, which is definitely a big plus! :-)

Glaciers all around the world are growing smaller and smaller every year. You better hurry.

When the weather is bad in France side of Mont Blanc it just might be perfect day to go trough tunnel to Italy and Courtmayer, and get cabin up to 3300m and Mer de Glace. Better hire a guide if you're not pro.

Our route to Courmayeur went through Aosta and we stopped by to check the town as a potential place to stay when visiting Cervinia. The old town, piazza and pedestrian areas were pictoresque but overall the town was a bit shabby and under construction.

A lot of young people enjoying the slopes. The slopes were almost too crowded but there were no queues to the lifts. The resort was quite well organized: after one of the cabins going from a ski area to another was closed because of an avalanche, we were provided a quick bus ride from the nearest village back to our car.

There is many places in Chamonix were you can enjoy good after ski. Maybe the best place is the biggest nigth-club. There is every nigth a Dj playing different kind of music. So if you like to dance and listen good party music, I can recommend this place to you:)
