Remember, Tahoe is shared by both Nevada and California. If you were planning on gambling, you might want to make sure you are staying in Nevada.

My friend recently got married at the West Shore Cafe on the water. We stayed the night after and the hotel is exquisite. 46 inch flat screen TVs in each room, lovely views, fluffy robes and slippers, etc. Highly recommended to anyone with a "luxury" budget.

Nice tip. :) I took the liberty of adding this tip to the group "Luxury Hotels" as it definitely sounds like one.

We went to Heavenly to ski in April. It was pretty great, warm, sunny and tons of snow.

Great place to visit for summer hiking. Take the Heavenly Valley tram up the mountain. Great Alpine hiking trails with fantastic views.

Absolutely fabulous, short drive from SF to some really cool skiing. The elevation is high, so the snow is good and it usually snows during the night. You should use some pretty strong sun screen, I got burned under my nose for the first time in my life.

We went to Lake Tahoe for a few days to ski and it was definitely worth the trip. It was around Easter so it was really warm but still there was a ton of snow. Great place!
