Nice, green town near Pentelis mountain. You can go there by train (green line) from centre of Athens. E.g from Monastiraki to Kifissia: about 30min. Chanel, Louis Vuitton etc...lots of fashion shops.
Mythos: a cheap and good restaurant. I also recommend restaurant named Block House :ob

If you're in love with the Ancient greek civilization, you have to go there. Athens is a little bit polluted, but the food is just awesome!

Acropolis Hill is a really HOT place in a summertime (july-august), so I recommend you to take a light umbrella with you. It helps a lot under the burning sun. And take enough time for exploring around this sight. It´s a pretty large area with Agora, museums etc..

Acropolis is everything you think it would be. The only two things that you don't read about is that it takes ages to get up there (and boy are you sweating after the climb) and that there are so many people moving around is a pain. Otherwise great!

It's a tough climb up to the Acropolis on a hot summer day. But walking by following the footsteps of Sokrates and Platon and so many more is the best way to get up to Acropolis and see the world famous temples and the view over Athens.

A great place to research greek history. There's just so much of everything that the next time I want to be better prepared, and select the few displays I'm the most interested in and go directly to see them. Running through all the halls during a few hours time was so tiring that we had to go to the beach for whole next day. ;-)

The "temple" is just a few pillars standing on a clearing. Not much to see. Ruins are great always though. :)
