Decent food for the hungry - the portions are huge.
On a saturday the place seemed to be very popular, especially among families.

I have been living in Heinola over 20 years. Beautiful town, not too big, not to small. River Kymi gives its charm. In summer Heinola is very green and in winter the river makes trees so bright white. Summertime the marketplace is very active. Nice place to visit.

Jaala centrum is a nice country village. From the main street you can see lake Pyhäjärvi, nice scenery. Many villages belong to Jaála and it has several lakes. And that means of course, that there are plenty of summehouses. Our summercottage is at Uimila-village, that' s why the high rate. Verla is of course worth visiting.

Very good views over Kalkkinen and the lake.
annaliisailola from Finland wrote about Kuusankoski one year, 4 months ago
Like the description says, Kuusankoski is an industrial town. Nothing much to see. River Kymi flows through the town and it is the best sight of the town.

Todella mukava kenttä ja hyvää opetusta, suosittelen Vierumäen golf kursseja lämpimästi kaikille!

Vierumäki is not very interesting village, but if you like sports, there is a huge sports center and several cottages and "hotelrooms" to rent. So it sis possible to spend there a weekend or perhaps also longer holidays.

I lived in mukkula when it was smaller than it is now. During the summer there's a camp site by lake Vesijärvi, and good though small beaches. All services (supermarkets etc.) are located pretty close by and Mukkula is only 5 kilometres from the Lahti city centre.
