"If you're on a rushed weeklong schedule, our suggestion is to spend only 1 night in the two main cities, Geneva and Zurich, but 2 nights each in the more kid-friendly cities of Interlaken and Lucerne, because of all the thrilling mountain excursions possible from these two resorts."

"He, along with Thomas Bodley (future founder of the library of Oxford) and Miles Coverdale, collaborated on the first English Bible for household use which came to be called the 'Geneva Bible'."

"4) As MikeBart says, at least 2 nights in Zurich -there's a nicer feel to the place than Geneva and the nightlife is worth staying a little longer for."

Geneva is a cool town, it is situated by the lake Geneva with beautiful surroundings. Public transport is excellent, they've got all the shops and restaurants you need and the coffee's good. It's also just a couple of hours away from some of the best skiing in Europe. Works for me ;)

It's bearable for a small, boring French village, otherwise no.

Nice park with some farm animals for the kids to enjoy. When you exit the park, take the train bridge across where the rivers Rhone and Arve are joining - has some nice views!

Take the opportunity to cross geneva lake from one side to the other for the price of the bus ticket taking the little yellow boat. It is a cheap and great trip to discover the city from the lake.

Be sure to leave enough time for security check, as the corridors go on and on forever before you actually get to the gate..of course depending on your destination. I seriously had to run for it a couple of times there, to catch my plane.

Nice quiet village above the famous spa resorts of Evian and Thonon, overlooking Lac Leman. Fabulous views, beautiful surroundings, yet within walking distance (more or less) from the jetset nightlife of the expensive lakeshore resorts. Affordable accomodation and eating.

Visit Geneva for the 1st of August celebration. It is the equivalent of the 4th of July and there are fantastic fireworks above the city.
