What is Imatra
Imatra (population ca. 30 000) is an industrial town in South Karelia. It is dominated by Lake Saimaa, the River Vuoksi and the Finnish-Russian border. I've never stayed here but have had lunch in the beautiful salon. The building is very beautiful all around and perhaps one of the two good things about Imatra. The other one is the Imatra Dam.
