The Ilosaarirock Festival is an annual rock festival held on the second weekend of July in Joensuu, Eastern Finland. Founded in 1971, Ilosaarirock is the second oldest rock festival in Finland still active, and one of the oldest in Europe.
In 2007 the event had 21,000 daily visitors. The festival has been sold out in advance every year since 1998.

Ilosaarirock is the best organised festival in Finland. They even have sunshine every day, which is quite an accomplishment considering the finnish summer. We however had the honor of exception as it actually did rain a bit during saturday (for the first time in 8 years, we were told)! It didn't matter though, as Herra Ylppö, VHB, Eläkeläiset and others gave their best on the stage on Saturday. 174 days, one hour ago
