When you move around in the street of Cairo in the evening, move fast and avoid confrontation with native people. If possible, don't do it at all in the evenings, or at least, do it in a group. Tourists have had to face this sad fact in many occasions.

I loved the Shepheard Hotel, where Napoleon stayed. Very old and ornate and the food was excellent.
