Sheila's is a great hostel near Cork city centrum. The staff is great and really helpful. If you don't know where to go at night time, they will tell you. The atmosphere is chill and relaxed and they have free Internet and luggage room. Check it out!

Food is good in Kinsale, but it can prove to be expensive. Two good bang for the buck places are Kirby's, a nice Italian pizzeria and pasta place, and Hoby's, a nice sitdown fixed menu restaurant. Kirby's is definitely off the beaten path hidden behind the major hotel, the Acton's - but the tourist office should be able to point you to them.
