Dramatic volcanic caldera in the mountainous central area of Réunion. Excellent hiking on well-marked trails. Little villages scattered around the area typically have one or two guest houses that offer accommodation (dorm) & meals, so no need to carry everything along. Basic French skills are essential to get along.

There are almost no sellers at all to tease you buy anything; the nature is splendid and the rates are quite comfortably. Most signifigant thing is; to speak some french... I have been there two times and it si more to come!
