Cambridge is a university city in Cambridgeshire in England. It's a city of crocuses and daffodils on the Backs, of green open spaces and cattle grazing only 500 yards from the market square... The Cambridge of Brooke, Byron, Newton and Rutherford, of the summer idyll of punts, 'bumps', cool willows and May Balls.

Be careful not to go swimming naked into river cam even after dared by friends and lured by their cash offer. Natives won't look it too good. 282 days, 23 hours ago
Take the time to visit the old university. Try to imagine what happened in the world at that time. You'll be shocked. 192 days, 16 hours ago

Stay at the University Arms (pricey, but o-so-nice) and spend an evening or two walking around the ancient colleges, take a stroll along the river Cam - and you´ll regret you studied somewhere else! 40 days, 12 hours ago

Obviously this college city is very old. I love to get transported back in time of the fantastic discoveries that have been made here (evolution theorie by Darwin, Law of gravitation by Newton, DNA molecule by Watson & Crick...).
To my opinion, the best moment to visit cambridge would be in fall or early spring so most of the colleges are open with very fey tourists to bother you.
