Byron Bay is a coastal town on the far North Coast of the Australian state of New South Wales, located just off the Pacific Highway, approximately 800 km north of Sydney and 175 km south of Brisbane. Nearby Cape Byron is the easternmost point on the Australian mainland.

Byron Bay is a relaxed nice small village at the coast. It carries a mixture of hippie and surf spirit and stylish individualised tourism. I loved it there very much, you have a lot of organic food offerings, nice bars, people from around the world of mixed ages and cultures and a very nice beach.

Arts Factory Hostel. If you like to sleep the unconventional way, this is the best place to stay. Relaxed people and helpful staff at the reception.
