There is a place where they make obelisks in Aswan. It's truly amazing how it's impossible to carve such a big and long block out of boulder.. and on top of that, to lift it and move it to a place where to set it up. Incredible.

The Dam of Aswan is quite big to be honest. Especially after all the surrounding drought the dam seems to be huge. There's also nice view to the river on both sides. The quide on our trip told us that the Dam of Aswan was built with money coming from Russia. So this is why there is a big monument dedicated to Russians.
