About Agia Napa

Agia Napa looks like the usual tourist spot to me, something I despise. But two miles east of it paradise begins, with most beautiful and unpeopled beaches. The area seems a bit deserted because it's some kind of protected national park. On the main street from Agia Napa to Capo Greco (the southernmost point of Cyprus), on the lefthand side you'll find an isolated but excellent tavern overlooking the sea. You can hardly miss it, it's the only one along the way. There are several announcements posted from both directions before you reach it such as "Fish 500 m". Yummy!

Good tip! We bicycled from Agia Napa to Cape Greco and I think we stopped at the same isolated tavern. :-) It's a good place to take a break on the way to Cape Greco. Cape Greco is a great place to see btw...

Oh, you had a photo from the tavern! Excellent! :-) And looks like it's the familiar Cape Greco raising up from the sea in the background of the photo. I remember it was quite a steep ride on a bike on a hot day...

That's most certainly the one! I had one of the best fish there ever.
Capo Greco is definitely worth a visit. When we started to walk there from the hotel it was already two hours to sundown and we didn't make it there in time though. It went pitch-black all too sudden and we had to stumble back over rocky Swiss Cheese-like moony ground without a ray of light helping us find our way. That was no fun, I'm telling you.
But Cyprus is such a great place to hang out at. We went there late in October and it was still extremely sunny and warm. I can't wait to return there.

A small village with lots of scandinavian visitors. Get the most out of the "city" by renting a bicycle. After you have seen all (takes about two days), rent a motorcycle and cruise around! If that begins to feel boring and dry, go for a boat trip!

Tony's Taverna. Best authentic Cypriot food in this crazy place.
